This tab contains settings relating to a rev limiter used while shifting so that gear shifts can be performed without releasing the throttle. Normally an external switch, activated from the clutch pedal, is used to activate the shift limiter.
Activation
Full throttle shift in 3 brain-dead steps: First you have to write a routine in assembler to do Full Throttle Shift (or in hex for you masochists. Next you have to make a clutch-mounted switch. For many Hondas without cruise control, the Cruise Control Switch is probably easiest. Connect one side of the switch to ground. Page 1 of 2 - Transmission Won't Shift at Full Throttle - posted in Maintenance & Repair: All, Does anyone know any reasons why my transmission will not shift from 3-4 under full throttle. Shifts fine when not wide open? I have upped the clutch capacity to 6 same problem. Jump to content.
Input - selects the arming input for the launch control.
Invert Input - reverses the effect of an input.
Settings
Shift Limiter RPM - is the limiter rpm when the shift limiter is activated. Normally this is around the rpm where the next gear would engage, typically 6000-7000 rpm.
Minimum speed - minimum speed for shift limiter to activate.
Minimum Tps - minimum throttle position for shift limiter to activate.
Strain Gauge Shift Cut
The Strain Gauge activated shift cuts the engine for a specified time interval based on the input from a strain gauge.
Cut Duration - duration of engine cut (minimum 100ms).
Reactivation Delay - delay before the shift cut may be activated again.
The strain gauge input is digital ie off or on, not voltage. A voltage comparator can be used to convert analog voltages to a digital signal.
Ill try keep it as simple as i can.I have read numerous posts on here about questions on how to get it working 100%
Basically you need to tell te ECU when the clutch is pressed in, For example putting a switch under your clutch pedal, so that when you press it you activate the switch to either send or cut 12v to one of the ECU pinouts specified in the parameters clutch switch drop down section,
So say i want to use E22 brake switch (12v on)
I wire my micro switch so that when my clutch is pressed it activates my micro switch allowing 12v to go to E22, this tells the ECU that the clutch is pressed in,
So when the car in stationary the setting for launch control will be used say 3500rpm,
Or When the car is moving (above 3mph) the full throttle shift setting will be used.
Does that sound right???
Now for the fuel igntion rpm and shift rpm limiter.
Ill start with the rpm shift limiter,
From watching my rev clock, when i shift at 8500rpm my rev falls back to 7000rpm, so simply set my rpm limiter to 7000rpm,
This in turn tells me that my fuel & ignition rpm should be set bellow my shift limit of 7000rpm, so i could set that at 6000rpm and it should work?
Is that correct?
Or am i missing something?
Hope this explains alot for other people as i was reading for a while trying to get my head around it. lol
